Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2026

The Indian Navy has officially released the notification for the recruitment of Short Service Commission (SSC) Officers for the year 2026. A total of 260 vacancies are available under this recruitment drive. Eligibility Criteria
• Executive Branch (GS(X) / Hydro Cadre) : Candidates must possess a BE/B.Tech degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks.
• Pilot : Applicants should have a BE/B.Tech degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks. In addition, candidates must have secured 60% aggregate marks in Classes X and XII, with a minimum of 60% marks in English in either Class X or Class XII.
• Naval Air Operations Officer (Observer) : Candidates must hold a BE/B.Tech degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks. They should also have 60% aggregate marks in Classes X and XII, including at least 60% marks in English in Class X or Class XII.
• Air Traffic Controller (ATC) : Applicants must have completed BE/B.Tech in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks. Additionally, 60% aggregate marks in Classes X and XII and 60% marks in English in either Class X or Class XII are mandatory.
• Logistics : Candidates must have BE/B.Tech with First Class, or MBA with First Class, or B.Sc/B.Com/B.Sc (Hons) with First Class along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance / Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Material Management, or MCA / M.Sc (Hons) with First Class.
• Education Branch : Applicants must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in one of the following qualifications:
MSc/MA in Mathematics or Operational Research (with Physics at BSc level), or
MSc/MA in Physics / Applied Physics / Meteorology / Oceanography / Atmospheric Sciences (with Physics and Mathematics at BSc level), or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering, or
BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering or MCA (with Physics or Mathematics at graduation level), or BE/B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Instrumentation, or ME/M.Tech in Electronics & Communication / Controls / Radar & Microwave / Optical Fibre Communication / Digital Signal Processing / Wireless Communication / Laser & Electro-Optics / VLSI / Power Systems / Communication Systems / Electronics & Instrumentation, or ME/M.Tech in Thermal / Production Engineering / Machine Design / Systems & Controls / Manufacturing / Mechatronics / Meteorology / Oceanography / Atmospheric Sciences (with Physics and Mathematics at graduation level).
Candidates applying for the Education Branch must also have secured a minimum of 60% marks in either Class X or Class XII.
• Engineering Branch (General Service – GS) : Candidates must have a BE/B.Tech degree with at least 60% marks in the following disciplines:
Marine Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering
• Submarine Technical (Engineering) : Applicants must hold a BE/B.Tech degree with a minimum of 60% marks in: Production Engineering, Control Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical with Automation
• Electrical Branch (General Service – GS) : Candidates should have completed BE/B.Tech with at least 60% marks in : Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Power Electronics, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Power Engineering
