| Eligibility Criteria |
| • Essential Qualifications: • Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University • Relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) at Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree level for ST/SC candidates • Additional Requirements (Any One): • Cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR • Cleared similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET • Awarded Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and amendments • Ph.D. Degree obtained from a Foreign University/Institution ranking among top 500 in World University Rankings by QS, THE, or ARWU • Exemption from NET/SLET/SET: • Candidates registered for Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009 (subject to specific conditions) • Candidates awarded Ph.D. degree as per UGC Regulations 2009 NET/SLET/SET not required for Master Programme in disciplines for which such tests are not conducted • Desirable: • Research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals • Teaching/Post-Doctoral experience • Awards from International Organizations/Government of India recognized bodies. • For more details check the official notification PDF. |
